Spanish side Levante coach Juan Ramón López Muñiz has expounded on Emmanuel Boateng's lack of playing time in the club.

Boateng joined the Valencia-based on four-year-deal from Portuguese Liga NOS outfit Moreirense in the summer window.

The 21-year-old's career at Levante started brightly but has seen his involvement in the side diminished in recent weeks, having last enjoyed playing minutes on November 5 against Girona.

But Levante gaffer Juan Muñiz has disclosed the reasons for the Ghanaian no-show in games.

"We have to make a sacrifice, we are in a club that needs the 11 that are in the field to compete at the highest level and intensity, it has to adapt and, above all, day to day , it is another thing that has to be assimilated and worked and adapt to the companions, it is progressing and little by little it is doing it ", the Asturian coach explained.

He also praised the Boateng's virtues. "He's a very young boy, he's had minutes in some games and not in others, he has to go slowly, he 's a projection player and you have to be patient, he's an attacker that causes problems in the back, he has good game and little by little is adapting to what is football in Spain."

Boateng took to Twitter after being left out of the squad that drew goalless draw with Malaga.

"STAY STRONG, Things Will Get Better, IT MIGHT BE STORMY NOW, BUT IT CAN NOT RAIN FOREVER #positivethinking,"
