Confederation Cup Sports Ministry Congratulates Ghanaian Appointees At CAF

The Ministry of Youth and Sports (MOYS) has sent a heartwarming congratulatory message to all Ghanaians who have recently been appointed to serve in various capacities at CAF.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF), the Continent's soccer governing body, has recently appointed Ghana FA Vice President George Afriyie, Ibrahim Sannie-Daara and Anthony Baffoe as members of the Media Experts Panel and Deputy General Secretary respectively.

In a release from the Sports Ministry signed by the public relations officer Elvis Adjei-Baah, noted that' as a sector Ministry, we pride ourselves in the achievements of our men and women in the sports fraternity all over the world.

'By these recent appointments, we acknowledge the soaring feat of these Ghanaians in their respective new roles at CAF.

'We would want to assure the appointees of Government's fullest support and believe that their expertise and knowledge in the sport would be brought to bear on their new roles and subsequently help in our quest to develop and promote football in our country'.

CAF already has the likes of Abedi Pele, Former Ghana FA vice-chairman, Fred Crentsil, Felix Ansong, Prince Pamboe, Ex-Ghana FA boss, Alhaji Jawula and Ghana FA vice president George Afriyie, all serving on various committees, with the continental governing body, alongside Kwesi Nyantakyi, who would serve on two different committees; the Executive Committee and the Emergency Committee.
