Dr. Kwame Kyei Pledges To Give Asante Kotoko Players GHC5, 000 After FA Cup Triumph

Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko, Dr Kwame Kyei have given the clearest indication that every player will be given GHC5, 000 for winning the 2017 MTN FA Cup.

The Porcupine Warriors humiliated their archrivals, Hearts of Oak 3:1 on Sunday at the Tamale Sports Stadium.

Saddick Adams who have been widely criticized and slammed by the supporters of the club scored an exquisite hat trick in the first half of the game to aid the Warriors to clinch the ultimate with skipper for Hearts of Oak, Thomas Abbey getting the consolation in the second half.

Despite pocketing GHC50, 000 for winning the MTN FA Cup, Mr Kyei will have averred to give every player GHC5, 000 for winning the FA Cup.

“The players have done very well for winning the FA Cup.” He told Asempa FM.

“I will give every player GHC5, 000 for making the supporters and the whole Ashanti region happy.

Quizzed if they are prepared to play in CAF Confederations Cup next year he said, “Winning the FA Cup is very good for us a club but we will have to go back to the drawing board going to Africa.

“Everybody will be happy if we win the CAF Confederations Cup but we have just begun so I will urge the supporters to stay behind us.” He added.
