FIFA U-17 World Cup: Awudu Issaka Impressed With Black Starlets Captain’s Performance

Former Ghanaian international, Awudu Issaka has heaped praises on Black Starlets captain, Eric Ayiah’s performance.

Ayiah has really lived up to expectation and has found the back of the net three times in the ongoing FIFA U-17 World Cup in India.

The Charity Star player was again on the score in Ghana’s round of 16 clash with Niger at the Mumbai Stadium scoring from a penalty kick.

Speaking to Sportsnetghana.com the former 1995 U-17 World Cup winner, expressed happiness about the performance of the player and has urged him to do his maximum best for the team.

“Ayiah is not a bad player at all, I spoke to him before he left for the tournament and am impressed with his leadership role so far in the tournament.

“He is doing his maximum best for the country and wish all the best going forward as a player,” he added.

The Black Starlets will take on Mali in the quarterfinals of the ongoing tournament in India on Saturday, October 21st.
