OCT 17, 2017 LISTEN

Elmina Sharks are set to drag referee Uriah Glah to the Referees Review Committee following his shambolic display according to media report against Aduana Stars last Sunday at the Dormaa Agyemang Badu II Stadium.

Aduana Stars defeated Elmina Sharks by 2-1 to clinch the Ghana Premier League title in the week 29 fixture.

Benjamin Tweneboah in the first half but this early goal was not sustainable enough for the Nduom boys to run home with even a point.

Class one referee Uriah Glah awarded a last minute penalty to Aduana Stars that pushed their victory but the Elmina-based club insists the referee handed them a raw deal with that decision hence, their move to send him to the Referees Review Committee.

‘’We didn’t play football at Dormaa last Sunday because referee Uriah Glah was not applying football rules in the game. He only made his own football rules to favour Aduana Stars.” George Wiredu told Cape Coast-based ATL FM.

“In fact, I admit that the penalty was perfectly converted by the taker but the incident that resulted in the penalty was a non-existing decision in an association football and very soon, Sharks will officially report referee Glah to the Referees Review Panel to ensure that he is punished severely.” He added.

Elmina Sharks has to beat Wa All Stars on Sunday at the Nduom sports complex to escape relegation.
