Head coach of Inter Allies, Abdul Karim Zito has assured the club supporters that they will not be relegated from the premier league.

Inter Allies took a giant step in their quest to beat the drop following their 2-1 win over fellow strugglers Liberty Professionals in Week 29 of the Ghana Premier League at the El Wak Stadium on Sunday.

The La-based outfit for off to a dream start as diminutive attacker Nassiru Hamzah opened the scoring with just a minute on the clock.

Isaac Twum converted a penalty after referee Otis Oppong adjudged Nassiru Hamzah to have been impeded from scoring when he had beaten Samuel Sarfo and Simon Zibo.

And in the 93rd minute, substitute midfielder Benjamin Eshun scored a consolation for the Scientific Soccer lads.

The experienced gaffer who was employed to help the club stay in the top flight has won two games and lost one scoring a total of five goals and conceding three.

Zito maintains that it is not over for the club and he is confident they will survive with just one game left to the end of the season.

“It was a difficult game against Liberty but we also worked hard for it. I think we are on course. All I will tell our supporters is that is not over before is over.”

“I am not disappointed as the driver of the ship so the supporters should not be down-hearted and they should keep believing,”

The Inter Allies stop-gap coach further stressed that they are ready for Hearts of Oak on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

“We are ready for Accra Hearts of Oak, if only that game will help us to survive the league then we are going all out for it. I am very hopeful and confident we will stay. Insha Allah with God we will stay.”

Inter Allies eighth on the league log with 38 points and need at least a draw to maintain the league status depending on the other results.
