Former Parma and CFR Cluj midfielder Godfred Adofo has signed for Italian Eccelenza League side AS Fidentina after a long injury lay off.

The tireless midfielder was the skipper of the youth team of Parma at their peak before the whole club went to administration.

Adofo who was part of the team which qualified Ghana to the Under 20 World Cup in Turkey in 2013 also featured for CFR Cluj in Romania on Loan and some Spanish clubs before injuries halted his progress.

The talented midfielder is back in action now and has joined the lower division side as he seeks to rediscover his form.

“I had offers from many teams in the top division and also outside but I preferred to move to Fidentina as it will help me get my form back. I do not want to rush after being out for some time. I need to start from somewhere,” Adofo told footballmadeinghana.com

“I want to do my best for the club to move up as I also seek get to my best again personally,”

Adofo 23, is represented by Oliver Arthur who is the same agent who handles Richmond Boakye, Afriyie Acquah and several other Ghanaian players.
