Head coach of the Black Starlets, Paa Kwesi Fabin has revealed he is impressed with his outfit performance against India.
Two goals by the captain, Eric Ayiah helped Ghana to a 4-0 victory over India in their final Group A match at the FIFA U-17 World Cup on Thursday.
With the result, Ghana secured top spot in the group on goal difference and a place in the Round of 16. Defeat for the hosts, meanwhile, ended their dreams of making the knockout stages in their first-ever FIFA competition.
However, Paa Kwesi Fabin says he is elated to have led his side to the victory.
“Yes I am very happy, I told them to do some things which they were not doing,” he said after the game.
“It was a good performance from the boys, we are yet to know our next opponent so we will strategize when we see our next opponent.”
Ghana will be facing one of the best third-place finishers.
