Sekondi June 23, GNA - At the Sekondi Gyandu Park, Sekondi Hasaacas beat visiting Berekum Arsenals 1-0 in their GT Premier League match played on Thursday. Kingsley Kwarteng scored the lone goal in the third minute after taking advantage of a defensive blunder by the visitors in the goal area.

After the goal Arsenal doubled their efforts to find the equalizer but they failed to break through the strong defence of Hasaacas who repelled all their attempts at goal. Hasaacas occasionally pressed for more goals in the face of the Arsenal attack but they could not utilize the several scoring chances that came their way.

The game from then on became a ding dong affair with either side not having a total dominance till the end of the first half. Hasaacas on resumption of the second half attacked furiously in determination to consolidate their lead and putiing pressure on the defence of Arsenals but they could not find the net because of lack of coordination up front. Both teams failed to take advantage of the scoring chances till the referee whistled for the end of proceedings.
