In soccer competition, UG and University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), Nigeria who qualified for the quarterfinals in Group 'A', will play Adekunle Ajasin University (AAU) and KNUST the two qualifiers from Group 'C'.
AAU's qualification was made possible after Kano University of Technology (KUTECH) failed to turn up for their final group match. KUTECH who lost their first two matches had seven of their players declared unfit for the match following injuries they sustained and therefore had no option than to refuse to play the last group match. 22 June 05
