I Will Plea To The President To Reward Black Stars B – Sports Minister

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Isaac Asiamah has mentioned that he will call on the President Akufo-Addo reward the Black Stars B team following their WAFU triumph.

The Black Stars “B” defeated Nigeria by 4:1 in the finals of the West Africa Football Union [WAFU] staged at the Cape Coast stadium on Sunday.

The Member of Parliament for the people of Atwima Mponua Nwabiegya indicated that the Black Stars B has brought glory to the nation and they deserved to be honored by the first gentleman of the nation.

“We are all happy as a nation the Local Black Stars has brought glory to us all. Looking at the joy that occurred here in Cape Coast, it tells you clearly that football is dear to our hearts.” Asiamah told the Press

“With what they have done they need to be recommended and encouraged to go ahead to continue to chalk victories for the nation. I will let the President reward them for bringing us honor.

“Everyone confessed that the boys have demonstrated very high sense of patriotism so at the appropriate time the Government will speak. I went to the team before the game and the players assured that they will win the trophy for President Akufo-Addo and they have done it,”

“With what they have done we shall reward them as a nation because it is not just a final game but its Ghana vs Nigeria and I was sitting beside the Nigeria sports minister and we were all under pressure.” He added.
