The former 2016 Ghana University Sports Association triple and long jump champion Abraham Seaneke has smashed a 35-year old triple jump record on Tuesday September 18 at the 2017 national outdoor games for West Texas University in the United States of America.

The former University of Ghana athlete spoke to Univers Sports about his new achievement and believes he can also qualify for the 2018 Common Wealth games in Australia and the All-African Games

“I was very extremely excited when I realised I have broken the long standing record in the triple jump just in my first five months in the United States”- Seaneke revealed

“Am also training hard ahead of next year’s Common Wealth Games that will be held in Gold Coast-Australia and I believe I can be able to qualify for the games” He added

Seaneke has also recorded impressive jumps in the Lone Star Outdoor Track and Field Championships when he jumped a distance of 7.27 meters for West Texas University.
