Tema, June 18, GNA - Lee Cardwell returned 64 net to win this month's Tema Country Golf Club Medal Championship played at the Tema Golf course on Saturday. Sharin Mustamin placed second with 69 net while David Arkutu took the third position with 72 net with Albert Brock placing fourth with 74 net. Leticia Amponsah Mensah won the Ladies category with 70 net with Ama Morgan placing second with 75 net when she beat Esther Amedzro on count-back.
The One-Day 18-Hole Stable-Ford competition was opened to amateur golfers from Achimota, Tema, Celebrity and Bok Nam Kim Golf Clubs and attracted about 100 participants Mr Felix Owusu-Adjapong, President of the Tema Country Golf Club presented the trophies to the deserving winners. The Monthly Medal championship is played to enable members of the clubs to sharpen up their strokes for major competitions. The next major competition is the Greater Accra Regional qualifier for this year's Peugeot Challenge Championship scheduled for the Tema Golf course on June 25.
