Schalke 04 draw with Ebusua Dwarfs

Cape Coast, June 4, GNA - Abura Odonase Schalke 04 played a highly spirited game to hold Premier league side, Cape Coast Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs to a 1-1 drawn game in a friendly football match at the Robert Mensah Sports stadium on Friday.

Schalke 04 dominated and outplayed Dwarfs in the initial stages of the game and nearly went ahead in the fifth minute but midfielder, Lawrence Dadzie, with only the keeper to beat blasted the ball off the mark.

Dwarfs in the 10th minute forced the tide in their favour and following incessant attacks in their opponent's vital area their playmaker, Ekow Ghansah scored the opener in the 25 minute. Ghansah after collecting a midfield pass deposed of two defenders in a row before slotting home the opener.

Undaunted by the lead, Schalke 04 again came into in the game and kept the Dwarfs "18" boiling and it came as no surprise when the 39th minute Dadzie atoned for his earlier mistake to fetch the equalizer. Both teams played a determined game in the second half but there were no further scores until full time to bring the scores to one all.
