Accra, July 24, GNA - Mr Godstime Addo, Chairman of the Adenta Chapter of the Accra Hearts of Oak Supporters Union, has called on the supporters of the club to rally behind it to achieve its former glory as one of the best clubs in Africa.

He said the situation where some supporters are at each others throat does not augur well for the smooth running of the team.

Mr Addo made the call at the end of a five-hour Health Walk organised by the Adenta Chapter on Saturday.

The walk, which began at Madina Ritz Junction through Ashalley Botwe and some principal streets of Adenta, ended at Jessie Spot at Adenta.

It was aimed at creating awareness on the need for the members of the community to join the Chapter which would be inaugurated on Saturday, July 29.

Mr Addo also urged Ghanaians to take active interest in sports to enable them to stay healthy at all times.

Mr Jean J.K. Effangun, Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the Club's Supporters Union, urged the supporters to bury their differences and patronize the club's matches in their numbers.

He expressed the hope that Hearts would emerge champions in the ongoing Premier League and also win the F.A. Cup which has eluded the club for some years now.
