Accra, May 30, GNA-The Achimota Golf Club June Medal Championship tees off at the club's Golf Course on Saturday, June 4. Mr David Atuwo, Competition Secretary of the club, who announced this in Accra on Monday said more than 100 golfers are expected to participate in the one-day 18-Hole Stableford competition.
He said the participants will use the competition to sharpen up their strokes for the Greater Accra Regional Qualifier of this year's Peugeot Challenge Championship scheduled for Tema on Saturday, June 25. Mr Kwame Saarah-Mensah, the club's Captain, Michael Aggrey, Yaw Assah-Sam , Gilbert Morgan, and Nick Smallman had all registered for the competition, which is being sponsored by the club.
Albert Brock will be defending the trophy he won last month.
