RTU lands 300 million cedi sponsorship

Tamale, May 23, GNA - Spacefon, an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) service provider is to offer Real Tamale United (RTU) Football Club with a 300 million-cedi sponsorship package soon. As part of the solidarity move, Spacefon donated 15 footballs, 20 travelling bags and 20 caps to the Club during its GT Premier League match against Arsenal at the Kaladan Park, Tamale on Sunday.

Mr. Mohammed Amin Adam, Deputy Northern Regional Minister who announced this, said the Northern Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) was working closely with Spacefon to extend its sponsorship deal to the Club as it had done for Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

Mr. Adam said Spacefon would soon establish a shea butter extraction factory in Tamale, next August to support the Club.

The Deputy Minister said the Northern Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) was working hard to secure a vehicle for the Club to solve its transportation problems and facilitate the team's movement to honour sporting activities. .

Mr. Adam advised the players to be disciplined and put in their best to win the league title for this year and called on the supporters to comport the club and desist from acts that might disrupt the progress of the Club.
