Walter Kautondokwa from Namibia successfully defended his WBO Africa middleweight belt by silencing Ghana’s Obodai Sai in round five at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra.

Kautondokwa also added the IBF Africa middleweight to his collection of belts.

Many boxing fans taught the fight would be exciting and travel twelve rounds, but it ended prematurely as the Namibian outclassed the Ghanaian with his height, body and heavy punches.

In round one, Kautondokwa dominated Sai by landing the perfect punches.

Sai came into the fight strongly in round two and three as he connected left and right hooks.

In round 4, Kautondokwa hurt Sai with a ferocious left hook, the Ghanaian stood his ground to trade punches with the Nimibian.

Kautondokwa ended matters in the round 5 as he sent the Ghanaian to the mat with a powerful right hook. Sai failed to respond to the referee’s (Roger Barnor) call forcing the latter to end the fight.

Kautondokwa improved his record to (15-0, 14 KO’s), while Sai is now (32-3, 24 KO’s)
