The much anticipated ‘biggest fight ever’ in the history of combat sport between the undefeated pound for pound champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. and UFC star Conor McGregor has finally been fixed to take place on August 26, 2017 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.
Nevada State Athletic Commission executive director [Bob Bennett] has confirmed that his outfit has approved the date for the Mayweather Promotions fight [Mayweather-McGregor] which began as a mere speculation.
Conor McGregor, two-weight MMA champion comes into the equation as the underdog because he has never had a pro boxing experience.
Mayweather [49-0] returns to the ring after announcing his retirement in September 2015 to face the mixed martial arts fighter expected to take place at 154 pounds.
The Mayweather-McGregor ‘megafight’ is set to break the pay per view record of 4.5 million buys, set in May 2015 when Floyd Mayweather Jr. met Manny Pacquiao.
The fight is also expected to generate more than five hundred billion dollars.
