Administrative Manager of Hearts of Oak Hackman Aidoo has revealed that the club is yet to be officially informed about the closure of the Accra Sports Stadium for renovation.
is no official communication from the Sports Ministry nor the National Sports Authority concerning the immediate closure of the Accra sports stadium.
The Sports minister, Isaac Asiamah declared that the Accra Sports Stadium edifice and the other sports Stadia will be closed down for renovations as the nation prepare for the hosting of the WAFU tournament later this year.
However, Aidoo says his outfit are yet to be briefed authoritatively.
'We have heard that the stadium will be closed but no one has told us anything officially. We sent two people to the National Sports Authority but again their was no official confirmation,' Aidoo told Footballmadeinghana.com
'We are awaiting for official confirmation before taking any decision as where to play our home matches,'
The Accra Sports Stadium which has been the home grounds of the Phobians for years has not seen any renovation since 2008.
