Accra, May 12, GNA - The male Hockey Team of SSNIT, Trustees, on Thursday posted a 5-0 win over Reformers (Prisons) in their week three clash of the Greater Accra Hockey league at the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Stadium.

The win is the team's second consecutive victory of the season after trashing the defending champions Police Men 4-2 in their last match ahead of this encounter. This puts Trustees on six points to top the Men's league log.

Before the clash, Reformers had posted a heavy defeat on Legon Knights by six goals to one, and they were determined to continue with their new found form but surprisingly succumbed to Trustees.

The first goal of the match came from the Captain of Trustees, Salya Nsalbini 29th minute.

After the break, Samuel Afari of Trustees registered his name on the score sheet with a field goal and a beautifully converted penalty corner by Johnny Bostio three minutes after Afari's goal ensured Trustees were in a comfortable 3-0 lead.

Reformers upped their game midway into the second half but were unable to match the strength and skills of a determined Trustees side.

Mohammed Osman and Godsway Addae deepened the woes of Reformers after capitalizing on a defensive blunder to score a goal each before the umpire whistled to signal the end of the match.

On Saturday May 13, seven matches would be played at the same venue in the Men, Women and senior's categories.

The first match would be between Legon Knights and Ark Men at 06:30 hours. The latter is languishing at the bottom of the league table with no point and would have to strategize to win their first match against Knights, who are just above them.

Citizens would lock horns with NDK Financiers at 08:00, with NDK Financiers 3 points ahead of Citizens with no point after a game.

In the Women division, league leaders Police would take on Extinguishers at 09:30 hours. The Police Women team would seek to continue their dominance this season having won all the two matches played so far.

The rest of the matches in the Women division are Real Ambassadors versus Reformers, GRA takes on Ark Ladies, whilst Tema Manhean battle with Odupong Heroes.

The last game of the day would involve the Defending champions Police taking on GRA at 17:00 hours in the Men Category.
