Foreign Players Praises 2017 McDan Tennis W / A Open

The biggest Tennis tournament currently going on at the courts of the Accra Sports Stadium has received warm praises from players, officials, spectators and the media.

It is the McDan West African Open that has drawn top tennis players from the whole of Ghana and some West African seeds connecting from Togo, Nigeria, Cote dVoire, Burkina Faso and Belgium.

Yours Truly had chats with some foreign players and all of them praised the splendid organization and fair officiating.

Thomas Sethidji from Togo who is based in France said the competition is good for the sub region as it is promoting friendship, unity and love among neighbours.

He revealed that most of the players have improved and exhibiting good and powerful tennis.

Thomas commended the CEO of McDan for thinking about the young Tennis players of Ghana and Africa and deciding to organize a competition for them.

Some of the foreign players who registered are Joel Meda from Burkina Faso, Albert Bikom from Nigeria, Yakya Magloiree from Belgium, Lizzy Arhunmwunde Osas from Nigeria and Folly Kuaye Esperance from Benin.

Others are Angel Macleod also from Nigeria, Sia Dorin from Cote dVoire, Kouadid Ahu zai Amandine from Cote dVoire and Sara Adegoke from Nigeria.

At the time of filing this report, the competition has reached the Quarter Final stage with players who has qualified as; Men – Wisdom Na-Adjrago, Jeff Bagerbaseh, Ben Ashitey-Armah and Ben Dugah from Ghana, Felix Hounkpevi from Benin and Joel Meda from Cote dVoire.

The female qualifiers are – Cindy Aidoo, Annette Cruikshank and Emma Cudjoe from Ghana, Sarah Adegoke, Lizzy Arhunmwunde and Angela Macleod from Nigeria, Benin’s Follykueye Esperance and Kouadio Amandine from Cote dVoire.
