Atibie (E/R), April 27, GNA - A total of 79 flights were recorded at this year's Kwahu Easter paragliding festival at Atibie.

There, to take part in the recreational adventure sport, were Ghanaians and foreign nationals from across Europe, Africa and the United States (US).

Mrs. Bertha N. Appeynarh of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that six pilots, five of them foreigners, were on hand to get things going.

No casualties were recorded during the event.
She spoke of plans by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts to train Ghanaian pilots to handle the sport.

That, she indicated, would significantly cut the cost to the Ministry. GNA
