The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has introduced returnee Black Stars Coach Kwesi Appiah aka 'Mayele' to the Sports Minister Hon. Isaac Asiamah.

FA President Kwesi Nyantakyi together with his deputy George Afriyie officially announced the appointment of Kwesi Appiah to the Sports Ministry.

The visit to the Minister’s office was to inform him about their decision to select the ex-Ghana international as the new head Coach for the senior National team.

Kwesi Appiah returned to his post as Ghana Coach after he was sacked by the Ghana Football Association three years ago following the Black Stars failure to excel at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

He is expected to be unveiled to the public and the media in the coming days.

The former Black Meteors Coach officially begin his duties on May 1.

He has promised to give part f his salary to old stars who are suffering financial and health problems and also give opportunity to local talents.

A large number of media men and supporters were at the airport to welcome him back home from Sudan where he was voted best coach.

Kwasi Appiah said he believes that the voce of the people is the voice of God, and he hopes Ghana people will give him the support and prayers to succeed at his second coming.

He noted that football is a game of shocks and surprises so the Black Stars are capable of qualifying to Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup if Ghana is destined to go.

Meanwhile, Joseph Langabell, one of the national team supporters and chief drummer if the GFA has urged the media to encourage local content than always criticizing for nothing. He wished Kwesi Appiah all the best at his position.
