Accra, May 1, GNA - Mr Kwame Saara-Mensah, a former Secretary of Youth and Sports during the PNDC era, was on Saturday elected unopposed as captain of the Achimota Golf Club.
Mr Saara-Mensah who joined the club in 1991 replaces Mr Samuel Adetola whose term of office expired last month. Other executive members elected were Mr Felix Addo, Vice Captain, Mr Henry Agbenu, Secretary, David Arkutu, Treasurer and Mr Charles Tabi, House Member.
Mr Saara-Mensah thanked club members for the confidence reposed in him and promised to work hard to raise the standard of the game.
