Duncan confirms Hearts move but, ...

Accra, April 29, GNA - David Duncan, head coach of the National Under-17 team, the Black Starlets has confirmed having a sort of preliminary discussions with Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club for their coaching job, which in the meantime he describes as a hint. Coach Duncan told the GNA Sports in an interview that, "I have just been hinted by officials of Hearts that I'm in line for a job but the discussion was not an elaborate one".

"Based on this, I can't describe it as a concrete move, but it's an opportunity I might consider because I'm a professional". Coach Duncan, however, said his consideration for the offer would be based on factors such as excellent working conditions as well as the existence of proper structures in the Club.

The coach of the juvenile team is currently concentrating on his job, which is scheduled to go to Gambia on Tuesday for the Sixth Africa Under-17 Youth Championship.

According to the coach, his aim at the moment is to build a winsome team for the tournament and any other issues will come after the two-week event in Gambia and beyond.

The Hearts coaching job became vacant since the start of the Premiership following the exit of coach Cecil Jones Attuquayefio. Coach Duncan is among a host of coaches, including foreign ones targeted by officials of Hearts for the job.

Hearts will become the third Premier league side to be handled by the coach if he accepts the job after starting with his former club Accra Great Olympics and his last club being Sekondi Hasaacas. He is touted as one of the most promising coaches of the nation.
