Former Ghana defender Frimpong Manso has hailed the appointment of Kwesi Appiah as the coach of the Black Stars.

Appiah, who led the Black Stars to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil but left the position in the wake of the tournament has been handed the coaching rein again on a two-year contract following weeks of search for a suitable replacement for Avram Grant.

Speaking to Metro FM, Manso said, 'The re-appointment of Kwesi Appiah will save money to the Nation.'

'Kwesi Appiah will be able to monitor the local league and get quality players for the Black Stars.'

'Kwesi Appiah must correct his previous mistakes and manage them well.'

'Kwesi Appiah must be a man of himself, stamp his authority over the team, be bold and confidence in his decisions.'
