Former Ghana striker Mathew Amoah has urged the Ghana Football Association to consider competence over nationality as the search for a new Black Stars coach intensifies.
The West African football powerhouse has been sharply divided as to whether a Ghanaian or a foreign coach should succeed Avram Grant.
A six-man committee has been put in place to search for the new coach of the 4-times Afcon champions with expectations that the new coach will be announced in the first week of April.
But Mathew Amoah believes that competence must be a component in determining who becomes Ghana's next coach.
