Despite the in-house wrangling in Ghana football, administration of the game and the national teams is on course. The Ghana Football Association and the Professional League Board have maintained a low profile attitude for the progress of the game.
A source has revealed to Casibey sports that Goldfields after the $3m sponsorship package for the Black Stars have almost concluded negotiations with the Umbro Kit Company to officially kit the Stars till 2008.
Officials of Umbro are expected in Ghana next week to meet the GFA and Goldfields with samples of the kits and possibly conclude discussions on the deal.
Casibey Sports can reveal that about three kit companies have brought samples of kits to be considered by the GFA but preference has been given to Goldfields who are now the official sponsors.
