Al Hilal poacher Abednego Tetteh is brimming with confidence as he looks forward to equaling former Hearts of Oak great, Emmanuel Osei Kuffour's goal scoring record in the CAF Champions League qualifying stage following his brace against Mauritian side AS Port-Loius on Sunday.
Abednego, 24, joined the Sudanese outfit from Bechem United in the close season after his impressive goal scoring prowess in the 2015/16 league season, where finished the league with 14 goals from 26 games, and has already exhibited his worth to the side after bagging 10 goals in nine appearances for the Blue Waves.
The lanky striker is bidding to become the second Ghanaian in recent time to annex the continent's highest club competition golden shoe award after Hearts of Oak's Emmanuel Osei Kuffour, who took home the coveted gong in 2010 when he finished the competition as top scorer with 10 goals.
In an interview with Accra-based Happy FM, said, 'It's my wish to be recognized as one of the best on the continent and it will be a delight to replicate the exploits of Osei Kuffour this year.
