Ex-Ebusua Dwarfs coach J.E Sarpong has jumped to the defence of under-fire referee Samuel Sukah, claiming his penalty decision against Kotoko was right.
Sukah has been in the news for all the wrong reasons after he awarded a controversial penalty to the home side in their 1-0 win over their sworn rivals.
Pressure has mounted on the trained teacher following the incident but hard-hitting coach JE Sarpong insists Sukah was right.
'I don't understand what kotoko fans are talking about because the ball was absolutely a penalty which no competent referee will overlook and I think referee Samuel Sukah was absolutely fantastic on the day and if I'm to rate his performance," he told Accra-based Radio Gold
'I will give him 85% so if kotoko fans have anyone to blame, then they should rather blame Ahmed Adams for committing such a painful penalty."
