Mr. Kwadwo Kwarteng, chairman of the Senior Staff Association, stated that sports is very instrumental in nation building but its challenging in developing it. He believes it is not the sole responsibility of the government to develop sports and for that matter all cooperate organization should support the initiative.

"With the awareness that sports cannot be developed and promoted solely by the government we are asking that philanthropists, organizations and all cooperate institutions to partner the organisers to help achieve its aim of developing sports in the country.

He further stated that 15 sporting events will be introduced to the students on the day assuring that security measures will be put in place for the safety of the all students.

These games include Judo, Volleyball, Taekwondo, Scrabble, Tennis, Handball, Chess, Table tennis, Badminton, Kids Athletics, weightlifting, Arm Wrestling, Kick Boxing and Basketball.
