Sports Journalist and pundit Dan Kweku Yeboah has stated that Coach Avram Grant cannot be given credit for the performance of the Black Stars insisting that he is simply riding on luck.

Dan Kweku Yeboah who made an appearance on Football 360 on Kwese Free Sports last Monday also argued that Avram Grant is simply riding on the determination of the players who are bent of achieving something for the country.

"Football is about tactics. If you look right from day one, from when he selected his players up to the tournament. I always ask myself where is the technical capabilities that the Football Association made Ghanaians believe, that he is a top notch coach".

The ace sports journalist also criticized Avram Grant's decision to drop Jeffrey Schlupp and pick Andy Yiadom for the tournament in Gabon.

"I am not seeing any [technical capabilities] bearing on the team. Why will Avram Grant on any day pick Andy Yiadom over Jeffrey Schlupp, for what, what is so tactical about it? It is not justifiable and nobody could convince me. If Yiadom were to be playing maybe in a lower division in Spain or Germany then you could say that they are playing in different countries but this is the same country"

"The EPL is the topmost club competition in England and Yiadom is playing in the Championship. There is no justification."

Dan Kweku Yeboah also told host Nutifafa Attah that he believes Avram Grant doesn't deserve the ultimate credit if the Black Stars win the Afcon tournament.

"If you look at the team, the boys are bent on achieving something and that is what he is riding on. If anyone argues that there is no luck in football, i will deny it. He [Avram Grant] is riding on luck."

The Black Stars will face Cameroon later today in the semi-finals of the ongoing African Cup of Nations.
