Schalke defender Baba Rahman attributes bench role to coach's rotation policy not loss in form

Ghana defender Baba Rahman has explained his irregular playing schedule at Schalke 04 is not as a result of a dip in form but the coach's rotation policy because of their Europa League campaign.

Rahman joined the Royal Blues on loan from English Premier League Chelsea to reunite with his former boss at Augsburg Markus Wienzierl.

He has made ten appearances in the Bundesliga but played in all matches in Europe.

Last Sunday, he was an unused substitute in the 3-1 win over SV Darmstadt at the Veltins Arena and explained why he was not involved in the action.

''I work really hard and as you can see, the coach is doing a rotation between the Europa and Bundesliga as well. I wish I could play every week but he's doing a rotation for the players to have enough rest and get more power because of the situation we find ourseleves,'' Rahman tod the Graphic Sports in an exclusive interview.
