The new Trust Sports Emporium that houses the Bukom Boxing Arena will be the action spot on Friday December 2 night for the Fist of Destiny Bill organized by Baby Jet Promotions.

This Afternoon the Weigh In took place in a frenzy atmosphere with boxing fans charged and ready to crown a new world champion for Ghana.

After Sucedo Fernando of Argentina chickened out and could not make it, a worthy substitute was found in South Africa’s Fana Mzonke, a former National, WBC International and IBF Champion.

He accepted the challenge to fight at the last minute and was at the Weigh In today with his trainer and some South Africans who will be officiating the fight.

The Fight Supervisor and two Judges are from South Africa and a Judge and the Referee from Ghana. They will officiate the top of the bill involving Emmanuel Tagoe of Ghana and South Africa’s Mzonke Fana for the IBO Lightweight title.

Obodai Sai will put his WBO Africa Middleweight title at stake against Ibrahim Tamba of Tanzania.

Ghana based Nigerian Felix Williams will face Taofik Busuga of Nigeria for the WBF and WBL International Featherweight title.

USA based Nigerian Olanrewaju Durodola will face tall Pascal Ndomba in an international Cruiserweight contest over ten rounds.

All the fights have been sanctioned by the respective boxing bodies and the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA).

At a Press Conference to set the bill rolling, Samuel Anim Addo CEO of Baby Jet Promotions said all is set for the showdown and it will be a night to remember with some fine musicians coming to energize up the Arena.

He gave the gate rates as 20ghc for students and Bukom fans, 50ghc for Popular Stand, 100ghc for VIP and 150ghc for a Special Corporate Stand at the VIP. He hinted that maybe the President HE John Mahama will be at the ringside alongside other dignitaries.

GBA President said it had been a very long time since a world boxing championship was held in Ghana, after D.K. Poison and Prof. Azumah Nelson fought a Japanese and Brazilian respectively.

He noted that this is the time for Tagoe and he has to seize the opportunity to make the nation proud.

Emmanuel Tagoe aka Game Boy promised to put up the show of his life as this is his biggest fight since he started fight 12 years ago and as someone who never experience amateur boxing, it proves that he is a special boxer full of talent and skill.

Fana Mzonke said he will give Tagoe a fight of his life and urged the fans to come in their numbers to make boxing the winner.

He noted that boxing is sport and must be used to create entertainment and a tool for education.
