NOV 3, 2016 LISTEN

In-form Las Palmas midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng was not named in Ghana's squad to face Egypt on 13 November in a must-win 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Boateng was handed an indefinite suspension after he was thrown out of Ghana's camp at the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil for continuously insulting head coach Kwesi Appiah in the full glare of his teammates.

But in an interview with CCTV Africa last month, he claimed he was not guilty and that he was unfairly punished by Ghana FA officials.

Boateng also expressed interest in returning to the team after talks with managers of the team.

He has scored four goals in eight La Liga matches this season.
