Hints of probable return of suspended Ghanaian international Kevin Prince (KP) Boateng has stoked controversy among the sporting populace.

It has emerged that Ghana coach Avram Grant is desperate for the services of the Las Palmas man for the Alexandria clash this month regardless of the White Paper clause.

Boateng, since arriving in Spain, has been phenomenal, with one of his goals winning CNN Best Goal of the week.

That, coupled with Grant's hanker to win at all cost in Egypt to breathe life into Ghana's World Cup campaign appears to be the reason for his services.

But many including coaches have frowned on the decision to admit the prodigal son back to the Stars fold.

He, together with Sulley Muntari, were thrown out  Ghana’s 2014 World Cup team in Brazil for verbal vulgar insults he unleashed on coach Kwesi Appiah during training session.

Boateng has, however, denied claims that resulted in his suspension saying “There were people who had a problem with me.”

“I don't know for what reason. They had their reason but they made them up. I think it was not the right decision that they kicked me out.”

In 2010, Boateng became a Ghanaian international for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa where he excelled after switching nationality from Germany where he was snubbed.

The former AC Milan star quit a year after the tournament, citing personal reasons, but returned for the final world cup qualifying play-off against Egypt to make the Ghana squad in Brazil.
