NOV 2, 2016 LISTEN

Chairman of Afro Arab Group of Companies Alhaji Abdul Salam Amadu has called on the Minister of Youth and Sports Honourable Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye and the leadership of the Ghana Football Association to smoke the peace pipe to ensure Ghana secures qualification to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

According to him, Ghanaians can't afford to watch the World Cup without their most adored Black Stars simply because of the grudge between the two bodies.

"Ghanaians can't afford to miss out on this World Cup so the two must take that into consideration and settle their differences. In everything they do, they must place the interest of Ghana first," he told Ghanasoccernet.com

"The World Cup fever is now part of Ghanaians. We qualified for Germany in 2006, South Africa in 2010 and Brazil 2014, and so we smell and feel the event, " he added.

The staunch Asante Kotoko supporter and football fanatic who is hugely remembered for donating boots and cash to Asante Kotoko when they played Hearts in Accra last year says that Ghanaians can't afford to forgive the two bodies if they continue their power-play to the detriment of the Black Stars.

"I don't think Ghanaians can afford to forgive them if we fail to qualify to Russia," he added.

The passionate Black Stars fan concluded by saying he can't afford to miss his fourth World Cup after making it to all the three editions Ghana have shown up.

Ghana is currently 3rd on the group with a point behind Egypt and Uganda in first and second positions respectively.
