Ghana Premier League and Division One League clubs are to apply for a license to participate this season.

They must have been asked to take necessary steps in applying for a Club license on or before Wednesday, 09 November at the Ghana Football Association secretariat.

This means clubs who fail to meet the specifications will not be allowed to compete in the elite and second-tier divisions.

This directive is in accordance with Article 6(6) of the GFA Club Licensing Regulations which states that ''It shall be mandatory for any member of the Association to obtain a valid license as a condition to participate in any of the approved competitions and matches set out in Article 4of the GFA Regulations''.

Article 5.2 (9) of GFA Club Licensing Regulations also states that ''The CLIB shall decide on whether to issue a license to an applicant on the basis of the documents submitted by the applicant in accordance with the provisions of the national club license regulations by the deadline set by the Licensor''.
