South African referee for Davis cup

Accra, March 2, GNA - The International Tennis Federation, (ITF) has appointed a South African referee to officiate in the Euro-African Zone II Davis Cup tie involving Ghana's Golden Rackets and Finland, scheduled for the Center Court of the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra beginning Friday March 4. The South African, Anton Rens is expected in the country by the close of the day ahead of the tourney that qualifies the winner to the elite Zone I. Rens was in charge of the last competition hosted at the same venue last year that saw Ghana's attempt to qualify to the Zone II slump to a determined Slovenian side.
