Derek Boateng is still looking for a team for the new season.
Greek side Panionios signed an agreement with his Swedish club, AIK Solna (who were relegated) but club doctors at Panionos discovered an ankle injury so the contract was cancelled. With the European transfer window closed, Derek has no choice now and is in Dubai at present on trial and possibly a contract with Al Ahli Club.
AIK want to cut cost of wages and Derek wanted to play in the top division in an European league so they agreed to part ways after the club was relegated. Is it going to be Dubai instead? The saga continues....
