Top4: Faisal/Lions leads the pack for honours

Accra, Feb, 6, GNA - Two players each from the camp of King Faisal and Heart of Lions have emerged winners of the prestigious player of the match award in the on going Coca Cola Top Four Tournament.

Eric Gawu and Shilla Illiasu of Faisal were winners in their matches against Hearts of Oak and Real Tamale United (RTU) respectively at the Kumasi Sports Stadium.

Heart of Lions' Beninnoise import goalkeeper, Rachel Chitou was adjudged the man of the match in their game against Hearts of Oak, while his colleague, Jerry Akaminko picked the award in the match against King Faisal all at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra.

Accra Hearts of Oak picked their first award in their last match of the first round against Real Tamale United (RTU) at the Kumasi Sports Stadium, when their newly recruited player, Joe Tagoe was selected as the man of the match.

RTU who are last minute substitutes in the competition, are yet to pick any of the awards and even though they have one outstanding match against Heart of Lions at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra.

Winners of the award take home a ghetto blaster designed in the shape of a Coca Cola bottle with other products from the company who are the major sponsors of the competition.

The second round of the competition is scheduled to continue on Wednesday at the Accra and Kumasi Sports Stadium.
