Nii Lante Vanderpuye: Black Stars players are indiscipline

Ghana's Minister of Youth and Sports Nii Lante Vanderpuye has descended heavily on Black Stars players saying they are indiscipline compared to other athletes in other sports.

The outspoken Sports Minister, who has in recent times, questioned the relevance of the Black Stars and the treatment offered them, insists that the players are not disciplined.

Addressing the recent issues regarding the per diem of athletes who are currently in Rio for the Olympic Games, the Minister praised the athletes for being discipline saying 'If it were the Black Stars, we all know what could have happened.'

'I thank God that we have a very disciplined crop of sportsmen. If it were the footballers, you all know what could have happened,' Nii Lante told Asempa FM

'Yes we had problems but they (athletes) haveve been disciplined and quite all this while,' he added.

The Black Stars' conduct in Brazil two years ago is still fresh in the minds of Ghanaians and the Minister insists the players wouldn't have conducted themselves well as in the case of the athletes at the Olympic Games.
