Ghana and TP Mazembe winger Solomon Asante says Medeama has what it takes to go the long haul in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Yellow and Mauves inched closer to a historic semi-final berth after mocking the form book and beating Congolese giants TP Mazembe 3-2 in their final group game.

The win means the Ghanaian side will be among the top four teams in the CAF Confederation Cup this year if they avoid a defeat in Algeria against MO Bejaia.

That game promises to be a cracker as it is the last group game and decides who goes through along side TP Mazembe.

But Solomon Asante who played against Medeama is certain that Medeama can go all the way.

'Well Medeama played very well against us and from what I saw they can be in the semi-final,' Asante told Accra based Citi-fm

'If you want to be the best you have to give off your best the quality has never been in doubt whenever it comes to Ghanaian clubs.'

Medeama remain second, three points above rivals MO Bejaia in Group A of the Confederations Cup.
