The Ghana Football Association has turned down appeals from Kumasi Asante Kotoko to release an international transfer certificate (ITC) for their attacker, Charles Taylor to enable him play for Tunisian club Etoile Sahel.
The Ghanaian FA according to Joy Sports sources has blocked Kotoko's request for the issuance of the ITC saying that it would only release it unless the outstanding contractual details of Taylor's release from Hearts of Oak- his former club, to Kotoko is settled.
Hearts of Oak are demanding that Asante Kotoko sign their portion of the contract document that offers the phobians forty per cent in the event of an onward transfer of the player from Kotoko.
Asante Kotoko last Friday failed to turn up for a meeting called by the FA to begin the settlement process, arguing that their absence was as a result of a court writ filed by Hearts of Oak on the same matter.
Charles Taylor is however reported to have signed a four-year deal with Etoile and also beat the January 15 registration deadline for both the Tunisian league and for CAF's African club competitions.
Joy Sports can confirm that Sahel is prepared to dole out 250,000 dollars for Taylor.
