Dani Carvajal scored a sensational goal in the second half of extra time to help the serial trophy winners, Real Madrid beat Sevilla 3-2 at the Lerkendal Stadion in Trondheim, Norway.

Marco Asenzio superb finish from outside the 18-yard gave Real Madrid the lead in the 21st minute before Franco Vazquez put Sevilla level in the 41st minute.

The first half was more of a balanced game but the champions of the Europa League were slightly on top in terms of possession.

Real Madrid skipper, Sergio Ramos gave away a penalty cheaply when he fell a Sevilla attacker:  Yevheniy Konoplyanka put Kiko Casilla at the wrong side to put Sevilla in the driving seat in the 72nd minute.

Sergio Ramos gave Real Madrid a huge lift when he scored three minutes into added time to throw the game into extra time.

Thimothee Kolodziejczak was sent off some few minutes into the extra time after he went into the referee's books for the second time for bringing Lucas Vazquez down.

Real Madrid, who had a one-man advantage put Sevilla under pressure by dominating play throughout the first half of extra time.

Sergio Ramos almost emerged as the hero of the day when dived to head into the net, but the goal was disallowed.

Sevilla sat behind in most minutes of the extra time and broke into attack when necessary. In the second half of extra time, Real Madrid could have finished the game earlier had James Rodriguez and Lucas Vazquez scored from the one on one situation with Rico in the post for Sevilla.

Daniel Carvajal scored an incredible goal, after a powerful run before he dribbled past two players and finished off in a sublime fashion to give Real Madrid the victory 119th minutes of play.
