Registration for ATL league fixed for February 1

Accra, Jan 21, GNA - The Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) has asked all clubs interested in participating in the maiden Akosombo Textile Limited (ATL) sponsored league billed for March, this year, to commence registration on or before Tuesday, February 1, at the secretariat.

A statement signed by Mr. Oteng Aboagye and copied to the GNA Sports said a technical committee would converge to draw up the fixtures for the competition which kick-starts on Saturday, March 5, at the D. G Hathiramani Sports Hall of the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium. Clubs are expected to pay 100,000 cedis as registration fee plus two passport pictures on each player.

Clubs expected to register include, Swedru club, Winneba Academy, Easter Region, Central Region, Western Region, Volta Region, Fire Service, Police Service, Prisons Service, Ghana Army, Immigration and CEPS, Great Princess Academy, Next Door and Graphic Communication Group Limited.

Already, Ashanti Region, Tema club, Ghana Assisted Schools Sports Association, the Ghana Navy and Kwanyako club, have all registered.
