Cape Coast Jan. 20, GNA - Cape Coast Venomous Vipers beat Obuasi Miners Commercial (OMC) 1-0 in a friendly soccer match played at the Robert Mensah stadium at Cape Coast on Wednesday.
The Obuasi boys who are a first division campaigning side right from the blast of the whistle met Vipers boot to boot to end the half time scoreless.
Both sides resumed the second half strongly but it was Vipers who were more purposeful and soon had the edge in their attack to score the match winner through their midfielder, Robert Nyarko in the 78th minute. OMC made frantic efforts to equalise in the dying minutes of the game but try as they did they could not find the net till the end of full time.
