Another walk-over for Kotoko

Accra, Jan. 11, GNA - Beleaguered Kumasi Asante Kotoko football club have for the second time gained a walk-over in the preliminaries of the CAF Champions League.

Yet to recover from their shocking defeat at the hands of archrivals Accra Hearts of Oak in the finals of the Confederation Cup competition, the Kumasi team seemed to have receive a piece of good news following the withdrawal of their Gambian opponents.

Kotoko had a similar opportunity at the beginning of the 2004 edition of the competition when their Liberian opponents withdrew from the competition, which automatically barred them from playing in the first round of the competition.
