Black Wonders On Their Way Home

8TH JAN. 2005 -- Ghana's Deaf National soccer team The Black Wonders failed to exhibit their wonderous character when they lost 0-2 to their counterpart from Turkey in their last group two match played at Green Gully Reserves pitch 2 in Melbourne Australia this morning.

By this result, the Ghanaians placed bottom of their table with 0 point scoring not a single goal in the competition and conceding 13 goals from their three matches.It should be put on record that, they were declared lossers in their opening match against U.S.A when they failed to appear as a results of early departure to the tournment venue due visas problems and consequently lost three points three goals to their opponents.In their second game, they were humiliated by Italy when they lost 8-0.

Black wonders exausted their substitution when they brought on Limann [6] for Baffoe [9] at 46 minutes Asante [8] for Buronya [11] at 59 minutes Lamptey [10] for Brown [14] at 83 minutes .

U.S.A lost 1-4 to Italy to also bow out of the competition. What should be done now is a post mortem to find out the causes of team's poor show so that things will be done right the next time.
